About Me

Cait Watson, LCSW

At a young age I knew I wanted to pursue a career helping others. I graduated from the Catholic University of America with my Bachelors in Psychology. After working in the field for a couple years I decided to continue my studies and received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. While working in the field in different areas of mental health I received my license as a Clinical Social Worker.

I have been in the mental health field for almost 10 years. I have experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse population. I have facilitated intensive outpatient groups and have worked with families and individuals. In addition, I have experience treating adults with domestic violence and trauma.

I utilize a range of different therapies depending on the person I am treating. These therapies include CBT, DBT, Schema Therapy, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic elements. I concentrate on a holistic approach focusing on both the mind and body. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and meeting each individual where they are at. I work collaboratively with individuals to help them foster a life of independence giving them the tools needed to cope with issues now and in the future.
